The MECC participates in many community events to talk about renewable energy and our cars. To create lasting change and spread education, the work starts in the community!
2020 Virtual Presentations
During COVID-times, the MECC visited third and fourth graders in our local elementary schools to talk about our club and renewable energy. The kids at Worcester and Woodland Elementary had lots of fun, especially with the hands-on and competition parts of the visit.

Arcola Career Day
We have been part of the Arcola Intermediate School Career Day for several years now, talking to young middle-schoolers about renewable energy and the club they have the opportunity to join soon. We’ve brought along models, as well as our Electric Bike!
Eagleville Elementary School
We visited Eagleville Elementary School to show some fun demonstrations about renewable energy! The young students learned a lot during our time together.
MHS Spirit Day
We’ve celebrated school spirit and brought more attention to our club and our efforts at the Methacton High School Spirit Days! Nothing says Methacton green like the Lorax does.
Temple Ambler Earth Day
On April 22, 2016, the Methacton Electric Car Club went to the Temple Ambler Campus to present the Lorax (the club’s electric car) to elementary school kids. In the process, ECC explained how electric cars work and helped raise environmental awareness.
