Race for the 21st Century

The Race for the 21st Century was the central focus of the club last year. In essence, the Race was a competition for alternative energy vehicles. Enthusiasts from the region and around the country, including our club, were invited to compete in a series of events which tested everything from acceleration to fuel efficiency. In the end, the Lorax managed to pull first place in the electric car category, and also dominated the braking competition (must be the three wheels). Unfortunately, after the Race was finished, our car unexpectedly died, which is the reason for our current battery replacement project. Repairs are going smoothly, and we hope to compete once more this year.
